Hedwig ?Hattie? Berlin, 103, former Franklin resident died at her home in North Chicago, IL on Saturday April 9, 2011.



A daughter of Xavier and Bertha A. Schultz Belski she was born in North Chicago on September 8, 1907.



In 1934 she moved to Franklin and remained here until 1993 when she returned to North Chicago.



While living in Franklin she was a member of the Uniontown Church, the Uniontown Ladies Aide and the Nicklin Homemakers. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.



On August 7, 1928 she married Harold L. Berlin. He died on September 23, 1965.



Surviving are her sister-in-law Jean Belski and nieces and nephews Bonnie (Jack) Sassman, Jackie Grubczak and Roger, Tom and Jeff Belski.



In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 sisters Betty Gottmer and Bernice Belski and 4 brothers Frank, Louis, Phillip and Stanley Belski.



Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 9-10 a.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday with pastor Mindy Graham, officiating.



Interment will follow in the Graham Cemetery.
