Drea A. Hubenthal, 94, a resident of Valley Road in New Castle for the past eight years, formerly of Slippery Rock, died Saturday in Jameson Hospital, New Castle. She was born Oct. 23, 1916, in Forestville, to Frank Errera and June (Bell) Errera. She was employed at Slippery Rock University in food service, retiring in 1981 after 15 years. She was a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church. She was an avid sewer and quilter. She married George E. Hubenthal March 23, 1940, and he died July 15, 1987. Surviving are two daughters, Georgie Ann Dewing and her husband, Ronald, of Warren Center, Pa., and Faye E. Rushing and her husband, Michael, of Grapevine, Texas; two sons, Frank E. Hubenthal and his wife, Rena, of East Butler, and James P. Hubenthal and his wife, Leslie, of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter; a sister, Betty Blom; and three brothers, Frank "Cubby" Errera, Orril "Bubbles" Errera, and D. Paul Errera, who died Aug. 18 of this year. HUBENTHAL - Services for Drea A. Hubenthal, who died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville, with the Rev. Barbara J. Moore, pastor of Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
