Alan Wayne Mckain

Alan Wayne McKain, 60, of Franklin passed away at 5:25 A.M. on Thursday January 25, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Franklin on April 26, 1957 he was the son of Marilyn Lee Boyer McKain and the late Clifford W. McKain.

Alan was a 1975 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and also graduated from Edinboro University.

He worked for 17 years as a missionary in Arizona with Native Americans. Most recently he worked for 10 years at St. Michael's Harbour as The Senior Program Coordinator.

Alan was affiliated with the Cooperstown Presbyterian Church where he attended faithfully and sang many special numbers. He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Franklin Elks Lodge #110.

Alan was a well-known Magician, and was friends with many famous magicians including, Lance Burton David Copperfield and Gary Darwin. He authored the book called "Parasitechology LTD."

On June 26, 1993, he married the former Melody Fuchs and together they celebrated nearly 25 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife is a son, Russell Alan McKain; a brother, Dale C. McKain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leann McKain.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. Saturday February 3, 2018.

A memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Diane Whitman, Pastor of Cooperstown Presbyterian Church, officiating.
