Alexander M. Strausbaugh, Sr. age 62 of Franklin, passed away at his home on Wednesday August 31, 2016. He was born on December 1, 1953 to the late Jack E. and Dolores Orick Strausbaugh in Bowling Green, Ohio. Alexander was a Franklin High School graduate and worked at Polk Center as a resident aide for a number of years until his retirement.
Alexander loved to travel with his life partner, Debra Norcross, and spending time with his son and grandchildren. He loved his work and took great pride in it. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was excited for football season to start. Alexander also enjoyed 2 Mile Run Park and helped build many of the trails. He also loved his cats Spook and Baby.
In addition to his life partner Alexander is survived by two sons, Alexander Strausbaugh, Jr., and his wife Genny of Franklin and Robert Umstead of Bradleytown, two grandchildren Riley Evan and Bekah Ann Strausbaugh both of Franklin, a brother Ronald Strausbaugh, Sr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Alexander was preceded in death by one brother Phil, three sisters Laura, Lydia, and Karen, and a nephew Robert Bridge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Huff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 312 West Park Street, Franklin, where friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 5 pm on Tuesday September 6.
