Alice Mae Card, 70, of 111 Cedar St., died at 3:45 a.m. Friday May 25, 2012 at UPMC Northwest. She had returned to Franklin in 2005 after living in Ft. Myers FL for 18 years.
A daughter of William J. and Bessie Lowry Cunningham she was born in Warren OH on May 1, 1942. She was a graduate of Franklin High School.
A hard worker, she held various positions over the years. She had been employed in the housekeeping department at the Franklin Hospital, worked as a residential aide at Polk Center, delivered the News Herald & Derrick but primarily worked in retail sales as she managed Circle K, Family Dollar and Handy stores.
?Nana? as she was known to many was a helpful and giving person. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and her favorite activity of all playing bingo.
She celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary with Charles P. Card on May 17, 2012, he survives along with two sons Richard L. Perrine Jr and his wife Debra and James B. Perrine; a daughter Tammy Perrine Ross and her husband Bob all of Franklin; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers William Cunningham of Polk and Joseph Cunningham of Ft. Myers, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Patricia Tarr.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 10a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Small officiating.
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
