Annabelle Bevington of 65 Ridge Peak Court, Maple Heights, Ohio, formerly of 1052 Elk Street passed away January 16, 2011. She was the daughter of C.H. and Rose Cline Hummel. She was born in Franklin on June 21, 1915 and graduated from Cranberry High School in 1934.
Mrs. Bevington worked as an L.P.N. at Polk Center for 22 years, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she had served on several boards and was a member of the Esther Circle. She had been a member of the Oder of Eastern Star; Franklin Woman?s Club, AARP, AFSCME Union, the Franklin Club and was an associate member of the Franklin Elks.
On September 22, 1935 she married Roy E. Bevington; he died July 7, 1983. Surviving are two sons Alan L. Bevington and his wife Melita of Camano Island, WA; and Larry E. Bevington and his wife Carol of Maple Heights, OH; six grandchildren Andrew A. Bevington and his wife Tammy of Annandale, VA., Roy A. and Scott B. Castillo of Phoenix, AZ, Alan Jeffrey, Sarai Ann, and Peter Samuel Bevington all of Camino Island, WA. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren Dominic, Alexis, Amy and Chantal, one great-great-granddaughter Angelina and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Linda Deeter, Chaplain of The Caring Place officiating.
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
The family suggests donations be made to Franklin Public Library, 421 12th Street, Franklin, PA 16323 in lieu of flowers
