Bernice A. Mcfetridge

Bernice A. McFetridge, 92, of 722 Mercer Road, Franklin died iat Sugar Creek Station on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 6:35 p.m. A daughter of Glenn Leroy and Elsie Moore Adams she was born in Pierpont, Ohio on July 25, 1916. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Mrs. McFetridge was employed as a LPN at Polk Center for many years retiring from there.She was a member of the Polk United Methodist Church. She had been a member of the Franklin Women?s Club and enjoyed quilting. On April 6, 1934 she married Russell L. McFetridge and he died July 7, 1991. Surviving are two daughters Shirley Zilhaver of Polk and Donna Miller of Troy, MO; 7 grandchildren Sandi Showers and her husband Paul of Franklin, Cheryl Englert and her husband Glenn and Cindi Wikinson and her husband Steve all of Polk, Lynda Holland of Cleveland Heights, OH, Karen Moore and her husband Brian of Markham, VA, Laura Schneier and her husband Dennis and Stephen Butters all of St. Peter?s, MO; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Jack Miller,a great-grandson Kris Showers, brother Marlowe Adams and her granddaughter?s husband, Ed Holland. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. Franklin on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Lea A. Guiney pastor of the Polk United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Sandy Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Polk United Methodist Church, 715 Main Street, Polk PA 16342.
