Brenda J. Sires, 53, of 1958 Old Route 322, Utica died at 12:26 a.m. Monday July 11, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
A daughter of William and Joyce Rockefeller Reed she was born in Oil City on December 1, 1957. She attended the Oil City schools.
Mrs. Sires had been employed as a cook at the Depot Restaurant and also for Vision Quest.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her children play ball, playing bingo and cards.
She was married on December 20, 1986 to Thomas E. ?Ike? Sires, who survives along with five children Bill Sires and his girlfriend Angela, Kristie Clark and her husband Curtis, Eva Stewart and her husband Tony and Brandon Sires and his girlfriend Chevy all of Franklin and Ashley Sires of Utica; 9 grandchildren Hope, Daymian, Shantell, Anthony, Justyce, Austin, Curtis, Dylan and Bailey. Also surviving are three brothers Tom Reed and his wife Vicki of Franklin, William Reed of Oil City and Terry Reed and his wife Kim of Chambersburg and two sisters Joni Reed and Jackie Reed both of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Tommy Sires and a sister Patti Reed.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.
Interment will follow in Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
