Burton C. Stewart, 53, of Barkey-Hoffman Road, Harrisville, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness. He had lived in the area most of his life. Born Dec. 17, 1956, in Richmond, Va., he was the son of Brice T. Stewart and Shirley A. Smith Stewart. He graduated in 1975 from Mars High School . Mr. Stewart was self employed and he owned and operated Interstate Towing and Repair for the last 15 years. He was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church. Mr. Stewart was a United States Marines veteran. He enjoyed auto racing, drag racing and spending time with family and friends and his good friend Tom Staab. He married his first wife, Denise, on July 1, 1983, and she preceded him in death May 13, 1993. He later married the former Linda L. Trinko on July 19, 1995, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Hanna M. Stewart, at home; and his mother, Shirley A. Stewart of Harrisville. Also surviving are two sisters, Deborah E. Smith and her husband, Ronald L., of North Washington and LeAnn M. Munoz of Linesville; two brothers, Patrick F. Stewart and his wife, Jackie, of Harrisville and Kim W. Stewart and his wife, Cathy of Grove City; several nieces and nephews; and his father in law, Thomas Trinko of Karns City. He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife, an infant sister and a niece. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Guy Jr. of the Barkeyville Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
