Charlotte B. Fonzo

Charlotte B. Fonzo, 98, of Franklin, passed away at 4:24 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Sugar Creek Care Center.

Born in Cooperstown on February 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Martha Whitman Boughner.

She enjoyed gardening, shopping and always kept busy.

Charlotte worked various jobs up until she was 87 years old.

She was married to Carmen Fonzo Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1979.

Surviving is a son Carmen Fonzo Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Cooperstown; four grandchildren, Amanda Hoffman and her husband Ray, Anthony Fonzo and his fiance Theresa Muschweck, Samantha Fonzo and Stephano Fonzo and his wife Mickey; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Merle Boughner and two sisters, Doris Roggenkamp and Beverly Tarr.

At Charlotte's request there will be no visitation or services.

She will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery with her husband.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Memorial donations may be made in Charlotte's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
