Charlotte (Gene) Morrison

Charlotte (Gene) Morrison, 79, of 1220 Chestnut Street, Franklin, went to walk with her Lord Tuesday March 24, 2009 in The Caring Place. She was born in Franklin a daughter of Maurice M. and Muza I Jones Hardenburg. She attended public schools in Franklin. Mrs. Morrison worked in the housekeeping department of the Franklin Hospital for five years and then she worked for Grandview Nursing Home while it was located in Franklin in housekeeping and as an aide. She was a member of the Franklin Women of the Moose, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Seniors of Utica, Utica Fire Department Ladies Aux. and the AARP. Mrs. Morrison was a charter member of Central PTA. On March 7, 1947 she was married to Donald S. Morrison and he died August 26, 1973. Surviving are three daughters, Sara Vogus and her husband Terry, Oil City; Marcia Miller , Franklin and her fianc�� Alvin Patton, Barkeyville; DawnDodie� Burns and her husband Terry, Stantanville; seven grandchildren Scott D. Baker and his wife Dawn, Atlanta, GA; Stephanie J. Miller, Franklin; Dana L. Miller and her fianc�� John Edgell, Conneaut Lake; Phillip D. McBride and his wife Teresa, Strattanville; Jennifer Rupp and her husband Joshua, Shippenville; Emily D. Morrison, Shady Side, PGH; Adam K. Morrison, a student at West Virginia University; six step grandchildren, Ales Burns, Kelly Clover, Terry K. Burns, Laura Harris, James Vogus and Stephen Vogus; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law Valerie Morrison, Erie. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother Maurice M. Hardenburg Jr. and a son Jon D. Morrison. At Mrs. Morrison?s request there will be no visitation and the funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Internment will follow in the Morrison Cemetery.
