Christine Elizabeth Collins

April 16, 1952 — June 29, 2020

Christine Elizabeth Collins, 67, a resident of 210 11th Street, Franklin, died Monday June 29, 2020 at UPMC Hamot Erie of complications resulting from a stroke she suffered in February of 2019.

She was born April 16, 1952 in Oil City, PA to the late Milton L. Miller and Eleanor C. Mook.

She was a 1970 graduate of Oil City High School.

She worked as a sales associate at the former Hills Department Store in the Cranberry Mall. In the last decade she worked at Burger King in Franklin and up until her stroke McDonalds in Cranberry.

Christine enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, crocheting, collecting Coke Bears and Boston Terrier figurines, being "Nana Chris" to her grandchildren Kevin and Eli and watching them grow from newborns to young men, participating in The Color Run every year, and spending time with her Boston Terriers Gypsy and Lulu, and her cats Dante, Ruby, Nemo, and Beltane.

The one thing Christine loved to do the most was spend time with her daughter, Tara. They were not only mother and daughter, they were best friends. They were shopping buddies, went on random road trips together, went to various concerts and pro wrestling shows, enjoyed Potato Patch fries and Dippin Dots at Waldameer Park, and would do whatever crazy thing they could think of doing just for the fun of it. They even had a habit of throwing crazy insults and one upping each other in public that would make people turn their heads in confusion. Then they'd just laugh and reassure them it's all in good humor.

Christine was married April 14, 1984 to William E. Collins, who died May 3, 2012.

Surviving is her daughter, Quitera (Tara) Collins of Franklin and boyfriend Anthony Mortland of Mercer; a niece, Amanda Lord of Warren; and a very special family she cherished and called her own; Shannon and Kevin Hoffman of Franklin, and their sons Kevin Hoffman III And Eli Hoffman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by her brother, Robert L. Miller in 1993.

In accordance with Christine's wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.
