Corinne Lea Ray, 71, perished from the ravages of many diseases at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at her home in Cranberry Township. Her bright smile and gentle ways will be missed by all who knew her.
A daughter of Walter and Faye Fern Kress, she was born in Freeport on June 13, 1941.
She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and Goodwill Sunday School Class in Franklin.
Her hobbies included baking eight loaves of bread each week using the milk, butter and eggs produced on the Rockland farm where her family lived. She also loved to sew, read mystery books, and enjoyed camping with her family from Michigan to Florida and along the Atlantic shore. She was always on the lookout for additions to her carousel collection.
On June 16, 1962 she married Bill Ray, he survives along with four sons Timothy and his wife Linda, Steven, Paul and his wife Kathi and Walter and his spouse Scott. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a twin sister.
Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Sam Wagner, associate pastor of Christ United Methodist Church officiating.
A funeral luncheon will be held immediately following the services at Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street.
Interment will follow in the Congress Hill Cemetery, Pone Lane. Franklin.
