Daniel J. "Dan" Staab

Daniel J. "Dan" Staab, 57 of Harrisville, passed away at the Good Samartian Hospice in Cabot on Thurday, May 18, 2017 at 11:54 pm. Dan was born in Carnegie on February 26, 1960 to the late Robert J. and Gertrude E. Herron Staab. He was a graduate of Moniteau High School and attended trade school for diesel mechanics.

Dan was the owner and operator of Staab Brothers Roofing, Inc. He was a very strong and tough guy but was also very selfless, always putting others before himself. He loved to fish and hunt, especially at his camp in Kennerdell with Todd and his many friends. He also took many fishing trips to Canada and Erie. He loved riding his motorcycle with his brothers and had traveled to Sturgis, Daytona, Pikes Peak, and traveled the western United States on his motorcycle.

Dan is survived by his two sons, Daniel "Dan" Staab of Eau Claire and Joseph "Joe" Staab of Harrisville, four brothers, Robert W. and his wife Arlie of Inverness, FL, Thomas G. and his wife Beverly, William J. and his wife Theresa, and Matthew P. and His wife Leane, all of Harrisville, several nieces and nephews, Colleen, Sadie and her husband Mike, Daniela and her husband Pete, Jody Lynn and her husband Rich, William and his wife Trista, Dustin, Nadine and her husband Aaron, Kara and her husband Terry, and Matthew and his wife Brooke, as well as his best friend Todd Cancilla and his wife Barb.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother John J. Staab and his nephew, Tommy Staab.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home, Inc. 117 N. Main St. Harrisville, where family and friends are welcome from 1-3 pm on Saturday, May 27.

A memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 3 pm with the Pastor Amy Worline, pastor at the First Church of God in Grove City, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
