Darlene L. Davis, 74, of Franklin died Tuesday February 11, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
A daughter of Robert F. and Carrie Louise Wice Baker she was born in Franklin on May 21, 1939. She was a graduate of Franklin High School.
She began her working career at Polk Center. She then went to work at Baker?s Transportation. She began as a driver, moved on to clerical work and retired as a supervisor.
Darlene was a member of the East Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family, she served as a 4-H leader when her children were younger and now attended many of her grandchildren?s activities. She had enjoyed camping, cooking and making candy just like her mother.
In 1964 she married Jerome L. ?Jerry? Davis; he died on August 22, 2007. Surviving are a daughter Jody L. Long of Polk, a son Jeffrey L. Davis of Franklin and two grandchildren Jordan and Logan Davis of Franklin. A sister Karen Phillips and her husband Clair ?Willie? of Franklin, two nephews Mark and Tim Phillips both of Franklin and a niece Jill Litman of Pittsburgh complete her family.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Dawn Davis and a son-in-law Robert Long Sr.
Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St., Franklin from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Lea A. Guiney, pastor of the East Grove United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Graham Cemetery.
