Dennis Kapp

Dennis Kapp (Denny), age 78, of Franklin, passed away July 10th, 2023 at home.

Born December 31st, 1944, in Pine City.  He was the son of the late Shirl Kapp and Rose Licht- Swonger.

Denny was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany.

Denny married Jackie Bacher in June of 1971.  He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. 

Denny was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. 

Survivors include his 3 children:  Karie Lopata and her husband Greg of Polk, Jim Kapp and his wife Julie of Franklin, Tracie Rutherford of Franklin.

And 7 Grandchildren :  Taylor Crow, Caleb Stanish, Madison Rutherford, Jenna Lopata, Jake Lopata, Ryan Lopata, Jayden Kapp, and Great Grandchild: Brantley Bish.

He was also survived by his siblings:  Terry Kapp of NC, Jack Kapp of Pine City, Joy Rapp and husband Larry of Pine City and Marcy Simpson and husband Will of Shippenville. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Sonny Kapp, and sister Elizabeth (Betty) Books.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2023.

Military Honors will be rendered at 7:00 P.M. by the V.E.T.S Honor Guard.
