Dolores J. Boughner,79,of 224 Highland Park Drive, Cooperstown died at 4:05 a.m. Saturday August 15, 2009 at UPMC Northwest, Seneca. A daughter of Homer C. and Margaret Isabelle Jacobs Coxson she was born in Franklin on June 12, 1930. She was the salutatorian of Rocky Grove High School Class of 1948. She began her working career in the bookkeeping department of the Exchange Bank in Franklin. Later she worked for attorneys Chambers, O?Neil, Nicholson and Belth in New Castle. She retired as a receptionist at Sugar Creek Station in 1995. An active member of the Cooperstown Evangelistic Tabernacle she served as missionary church treasurer, organist or pianist. She collected antique tea cups, held an amateur radio license, enjoyed knitting flowers and working crossword puzzles. On December 18, 1953 she married Eugene C. Boughner who survives along with a daughter Tamara J. Boughner of Wyattville. Also surviving are a sister-in-law Joy Coxson of Wyattville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Dallas B. Coxson. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Cooperstown Evangelical Tabernacle with Rev. Mark E. Fultz, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooperstown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
