Don C. Buchanan

Don C. Buchanan, 90 of Harrisville, passed away on August 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Don was born in Grove City on June 16, 1927 to the late David Claire and Florence McFadden Buchanan. Don proudly served our Country in the United States Army during World War II. He was married to his beloved wife Fern Viola Buchanan, she preceded him in death in 2010.

Don was an auto mechanic and worked for many years at Jordan Brothers and Jerry Taylor Ford. He was a longtime member of Grove City Baptist Church. Don loved his family and will be dearly missed by many.

Don is survived by his two sons, Monte Buchanan and his wife Linda of Harrisville, and Dallas Buchanan and his wife Cree of Clintonville, five grandchildren, Wade Buchanan of Pasadena, CA, Cody Buchanan and his wife Adrienne of Barkeyville, Rodney Buchanan and his wife Joan of Erie, Jamie Buchanan of Barkeyville, and Amanda Buchanan of Clintonville, five great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Kinley Buchanan of Barkeyville, Chloe Boyer and Olivia Cochran of Clintonville, and Rylie Buchanan of Barkeyville, a brother Warren Buchanan and his wife Phyllis of Grove City, a sister Grace Siferd of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by his brother Gale Buchanan and his sister Mary Palmer.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home, Inc.

Services will be private

Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery.
