Donald E. Rihel

Donald E. Rihel, 86 of Harrisville, passed away Saturday August 1, 2015 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born at home in Marion Township on August 10, 1928, he was a son of the late Ernest and Florence Hartley Rihel.

Don was always a hard worker and started at an early age at the Montgomery Block Company, then Pullman Standard and Spang and then worked over 20 years as an equipment operator at Allegheny Mineral.

Don was also the caretaker at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville for over 14 years.

On July 28, 1967 he married the former Helen L. Fix and she preceded him in death on June 12, 1974.

Surviving is a daughter, Stacy Jones and her husband Michael of Chicora; two grandchildren, Emily Jones and Hunter Jones; a sister-in-law, Dessie Sopher of NC, and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Rihel.

Family and friends welcome Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St. Harrisville. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Boyd Smith, Pastor of West Unity Community Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Prairie Cemetery.
