Donald L. Sanford

Donald L. Sanford Sr., 63, of Franklin died at 7:22 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at his residence.

A son of Norman Leroy "Lee" and Anna Louise Duttry Sanford, he was born in Franklin on August 28, 1952. He attended Franklin High School.

Donald was a long time employee of Baker's Transportation working as a dispatcher, driver or as he said, "Whatever needed done".

He was a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge and enjoyed dirt track racing.

On December 16, 1971 he married the former Debora L. Baker, she survives along with two sons, Donald L. Sanford Jr. and Gary M. Sanford both of Franklin, 8 grandchildren Donald (Staci) Dunmire, Cody Dunmire, Oakley, Austin W., Alexandra, Sierra, and Aleigha Sanford and Zoey Kaster; and a great-grandchild Peyton Dunmire. Also surviving are his siblings Lee Sanford of Pittsburgh, Dana Mack, Sue Cancilla and Sherry Wilson all of Franklin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
