Donald R. Malone Sr.

In loving memory of Donald R. Malone, Sr., born in Grafton, West Virginia on the morning of July 12th, 1947. Sadly he was taken too soon by the good Lord on the beautiful morning of June 23rd, 2023.

Don loved being surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed music, dancing, and drinking his adult beverages from time to time. Don also loved his place of employment at Joy Manufacturing where he worked for years and loved every minute of it.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bert Malone, and his mother, Virginia Wine Malone. Also preceding in death were his brothers Bert C., Jack, Gary Paul, Terry R., and Ira Michael Malone Sr., along with a sister, Cheryl Anne Malone. 

Surviving Don are his three brothers and two sisters: Jerry, Richard, Chris, and Tina Malone and Sandra K. Powell. Also surviving are Donald’s five sons: Kevin, Steve, Curt, Donald Ray Jr., and Chad Worst. Donald leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff – Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 5:00 – 7 :00 P.M. Wednesday.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be made it Mt. Irwin Cemetery.
