Dr. Michael J. Padalino, 67, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, February 7, 2019.

Born in Buffalo, NY on November 3, 1951, he was the son of Phyllis Genova Padalino and the late Michael C. Padalino.

A faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin, Mike attended Catholic schools in his youth and graduated from Bishop Fallon High School in Buffalo.

Mike earned his undergraduate degree at SUNY-Buffalo and went to medical school at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, NH.

On July 20, 1974, he married the former Suzanne Patterson. Over their 44 years of marriage, they resided in Brooklyn, Hanover, and Franklin.

Dr. Padalino had a solo practice in Franklin for many years until he was joined by Dr. Gerard Kenney as a partner to form Digestive Health Specialists in Seneca. Dr. Padalino and Dr. Kenney also established The Surgery & Laser Center in Seneca, along with two other founding physicians, where he worked until the time of his death. Dr. Padalino was planning to retire soon.

Mike was a culinary enthusiast and talented cook, and spent his free time diligently maintaining his historic property in Miller Park. He also enjoyed playing tennis with his wife, and was a lifelong avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Pirates. Mike also enjoyed many family trips in the United States and internationally.

Mike is survived by his mother, as well as his wife and their three children: Kristen Padalino of Baltimore, MD; Erin Holden and her husband Michael of Asia; and Timothy Padalino and his wife Katie Anne of Charlottesville, VA. Mike is also survived by his four grandchildren, Josiah and Daniel Holden and Oliver and Adelaide Padalino; a sister, Marilyn Toporczyk and her husband Carl; two brothers-in-law, Scott Patterson and his wife LeeAnn and Steven Patterson and his wife Gayle; and a niece and four nephews.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff - Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin, where family and friends are welcome from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 12.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 13 at St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty St. Franklin, with Monsignor John J. Herbein officiating.

Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to: St. Patrick Food Bank, Community Services of Venango County, or the charity of one's choice.
