Elizabeth M. Worden, 85 of 726 Elk St., Franklin, died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Sugar Creek Station. ,
A daughter of Emmet P. And Anna Hughes Morgan she was born in Franklin on December 10, 1925. She graduated from Franklin High School.
In the late 1960s and early 70s she had been employed at the Shaw Shoe Store in Franklin. She belonged to several card clubs over the years and loved to play golf.
For many years she and her husband enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit long time friends. Trips became more frequent when her daughter and granddaughter moved to Clearwater.
On November 17, 1948 she married Joseph L. Worden, who died October 6, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters Sharon L. Worden and her partner Robert L. Renninger of Franklin and Carol L. Thompson of Clearwater, FL, a granddaughter Lisa Thompson Zeldin of York and two great-grandsons Joseph and Zachary Zeldin of York.
Also surviving are a brother Richard E. Morgan and his wife Ike and a sister Josephine McCracken both of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Louise Mook in 2010.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St , Franklin on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Linda Deeter chaplain at The Caring Place officiating..
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
