Elizabeth Ursula Khein

Elizabeth Ursula Blauser Khein, 90, former Oil City- Franklin area resident went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 17, 2009 at University Hospital, Tamarac, Florida. The oldest daughter of Orrin L. and Katherine Brown Blauser, she was born in Oil City on October 15, 1918. During the early years of her life she helped her mother care for her 11 brothers and sisters. She was a 1937 graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Khein worked at various jobs throughout her life choosing mainly to be a loving mother and homemaker. In her spare time she could be found sewing, knitting or crocheting something for her family. She particularly enjoyed working beside her beloved husband Neal in the garden on the spare lot beside their home in Reno. She was a member of the Nursery Chapter Order of Eastern Star and in 1972 served as mother advisor for Rainbow Girls Order 19. Mrs. Khein dedicated herself to helping raise her granddaughters to the fine young women they became. On April 28, 1939 she married Neal R. Khein who died April 29, 2000. Mr. and Mrs. Khein lived in the Oil City and Franklin area until 1999 when failing health forced them to move to Florida. Surviving are a daughter Peggy Beyerl and her husband Bradley of Sunrise, FL; two sons Neal R. Khein Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL and RichardDick� Khein and his wife Jane Craft Khein of Sunrise, FL; two grandchildren Marisa Cutaia and her husband Tony of Boca Raton, FL and Briana Beyerl of Sunrise, Fl and three great-grandchildren Zoe, Nicky and Fiona Beyerl. Also surviving are two brothers William Blauser and Orrin L. Blauser Jr. both of Oil City and four sisters Jean Davidson, RuthPeg� Hockman, Patricia Karns all of the Franklin-Oil City area and Virginia Brosious of Baltimore, MD. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters Katherine MacDonald and Mildred Miller and three brothers Oliver, Wade and Robert Blauser. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Richard K. Harry, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
