Ella Mae Snyder 90, of 351 Causeway Dr., formerly of 1220 Chestnut St. died at 5:20 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Sugar Creek Station.
Born in Franklin on January 28, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Susan Ella Overmoyer Collins.
Mrs. Snyder was employed at GC Murphy?s, Virginia Morse Dress Shop and as a teller at First National Bank formerly the Exchange Bank retiring in 1985 after 23 years of service.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, taking part in activities at the senior center, and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, AARP and the Area Agency on Aging.
She was married on February 5, 1946 to Lawrence ?Burky? Snyder and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1958.
Surviving are two daughters; Patricia A. Faller and her husband Thomas of Chicora and Cinda L. Gander of Stoneboro; seven grandchildren, Jon M. Gander, Jennifer R. Hilson, Emily J. Straub, Michael T. Faller, Geoffrey L. Gander, Colleen E. Kuciak and Mary K. Faller and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Everett Collins, Carl Collins and George Collins and a son-in-law Aloysius ?Sonny? Gander.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Sugar Creek Station for their excellent care and support.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Monday at the Huff Chapel Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Wagner, Associate Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Peters Cemetery.
