Etsuko K. Stevenson

Etsuko K. Stevenson, 85, of Grove City, formerly of Oil City, passed away at her residence early Monday morning, April 8, 2024 after a brief illness.

She was born in Yokohama, Japan on October 21, 1938.

She enjoyed vegetable gardening, cooking, collecting Japanese dolls and other items that represent her native country, taking care of others and enjoying her soap operas.

Spending time with family and sharing laughs, taking care of her dog and walking family dogs were all very impotent to Etsuko. 

Surviving family members: son William E. Stevenson Jr., daughter in law Kathleen Stevenson, grandchildren Brandon Stevenson, Nathan Stevenson, Summer Stevenson, Lucy Elkin, Henry Elkin, Sister-in-law Mary Fry.

She was preceded in death by her, husband William E Stevenson Sr. and daughter Joann Lee Stevenson

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Thursday. 

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Matthew Bupp, officiating. 

If sending flowers, White chrysanthemums, white lilies, and white roses are traditional to Japanese funerals. 

Interment will be at Dempseytown Cemetery.
