Floyd ?Butch? Resinger Jr., 67 of Oil City passed away a 4:35 A.M Friday October 19, 2012 at the Oil City Presbyterian Home.
Born April 7, 1945 in Franklin he was the son of the late Floyd and Ruth Tarr Resinger Sr.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and raising rabbits. Floyd also enjoyed small engine repair four wheeling, racing with his son Bill, spending time with family and friends and his dog Chili.
Floyd worked for many years at Vertical Seal and also for the Borough of Pleasantville, working in many different capacities in the borough.
Surviving are three sons; Scott Resinger of Frackville, Bill Resinger and his wife Tawyna of Oil City, and Chad Resinger and his Fiancé Celeste of Oil City; two daughters, Mary Swisher and her husband Arthur of Oil City and Amanda Resinger and her friend Joan of Jersey Shore, PA; a half-brother Bob Resinger and his wife Deb of Franklin; four grandchildren, Stephanie Shreve, Samantha Resinger, Courtney Swisher, Aaron Swisher all of Oil City and one great-grandson, Hunter Resinger of Oil City.
Floyd is also survived by his special friend Sarah McCool Dick and the entire McCool Family.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Raymond Resinger Jr.
Family and friends welcome Monday from 2:00 ? 6:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dana Lewis, Pastor of Mt. Carmel Tabernacle in Dempseytown, Officiating.
