Gail J. Krepp.73, of 4 Kenneth Street, died at 5:28 a.m. December 24, 2011 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.
A daughter of Paul D. and Mae E. Carner Black she was born in Boyers on May 26, 1938. She was a graduate of Franklin High School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Krepp had worked for a time at the G.C. Murphy store in Franklin and later as a secretary for the Pennsylvania Soil Conservancy.
She was an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Willing Workers Sunday School class and L.O.G.S. She served the church by cooking for many of its groups and functions.
She enjoyed baking, knitting and time on her computer playing Scrabble and keeping in touch with her many Facebook friends.
On October 11, 1958 she married William V. Krepp who survives along with three children: Tammy Hoover and her husband Robert of Franklin, Randy Krepp of Bally and Kevin Krepp and his wife Kimberly of Reno; seven grandchildren: Cristi Hoover, Marci Hoover and her fiancé Wally Stone, Staci Hoover and her special friend Jake Downing, Selena Malaggese and her husband Kevin, Julie D?Amico and her fiancé Jim Gilhouse, Robert Krepp and Matthew Blum and his fiancé Jess Thiry; and three great-grandchildren Dylan D?Amico, Mykah Stone and Paige Blum. Also surviving are two brothers Vern Black Sr. and his wife Becky of Thomasville and Don Black and his wife Sheree of Winfield, WV; a sister Vicki Clark and her husband M. Allen Clark of Utica and many close nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Charles and Frank Black.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 6-8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held in the Grace United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ed Gresick, pastor of the church officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
Her family suggests memorial donations be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, 350 Front Street, Franklin PA 16323.
