Gail L. Schoupe, 72 formerly of 3201 Crawford Ave., Polk died in The Caring Place at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She was born in Franklin on February 1, 1937 a daughter of Lawrence and Eva LaVern French Sechler. She graduated from Franklin High School and later from Roberts Wesleyn College in Rochester, N.Y. with a degree in Education. She taught third grade in Easton Maryland for several years.
She enjoyed crocheting, crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay, Jimmy Miller and Pine Valley Boys, Valarie?s special breakfasts and Maria and the staff at The Caring Place.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Dow Schoupe, a son Bobby Schoupe, a brother Gordon Sechler and her step-mother Martha Sechler.
Friends may call at the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin on Friday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Linda Deeter, chaplain at The Caring Place officiating and music by Jimmy Miller and the Pine Valley Boys.
Interment will be made in the Peters Cemetery.
