Harry C. Stuchal, 55, of Harmony Road, Slippery Rock, died at 7:06 p.m. Sunday at UPMC Pittsburgh. Born June 26, 1955, in Grove City, he was the son of Charles E. Stuchal and Betty A. (Riley) Stuchal. A 1974 graduate of Butler High School, he was a mechanic for Slippery Rock University, retiring in 2009 with more than 30 years of service. He was active in farming with his brother and nephew. He also was known by many for hauling livestock. He was a very active supporter of 4-H activities in many capacities, a member of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association and a former member of the Marion Township Fire Department. He always was willing to help others and was known for his sense of humor. Surviving are a brother, Richard W. Stuchal and his wife, Linda, of Slippery Rock; a niece, Lisa Bauer and her husband, Jim; a nephew, Cory Stuchal and his wife, Nikole; a great-niece, Skylar Bauer; two great-nephews, Jesse and Jimi Bauer; an aunt and an uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and a niece. STUCHAL - Calling hours for Harry C. Stuchal, who died Sunday, April 3, 2011, are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. William E. Hastings, pastor of the Harrisville United Methodist Church and the Rev. Willard S. Morse, visitation minister of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
