Harry V. Kidd

Harry V. Kidd, Jr., age 100 of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 7:49 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot, PA.

Born July 28, 1915 in Butler, PA he was the son of the late Harry V. Kidd Sr. and Jane May Slaugenhaupt Kidd.

Harry graduated from Butler High School in 1934 and retired from ARMCO where he worked in silicon maintenance.

He was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

Harry enjoyed decorating empty toilet paper tubes at a craft table in his apartment at Newhaven Court at Clearview. He decorated over 300 tubes for each holiday, filled them with candy, and delivered them to South Butler County Meals on Wheels, nursing homes, and Nixon Preschool.

Harry is survived by a son Francis S. Kidd and his wife Darlene of Novato, CA, two daughters Loretta M. Donaldson of Butler and Jane M. Rak and her husband Robert of Ellwood City, a daughter-in-law Kathy Kidd of San Antonio, TX. He is further survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death in 2006 by his loving wife Anna Lehnerd Kidd, who he married on May 24, 1941, his son William A. Kidd who died in 2015, and his three brothers Richard, William, and Sterling Kidd.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will be private.

Services have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home, Inc. Harrisville, PA.
