Hazel A. Lepley Wenner, 91 of Franklin passed away at 9:15 P.M. on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Sugar Creek Station where she resided for a number of years.
Born February 8, 1924 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Donald R. and Ethel R. Adams Lepley.
She was a 1941 graduate of Rocky Grove High school.
Hazel worked in the Pump Department of the CPT from 1942-1945. She then worked in the Franklin business office of GTE now Verizon from 1945-1982 then the Oil City business office retiring June 1, 1989.
She was married on July 8, 1950 by DR B.E. Coleman to R. Kenneth Wenner in the First Evangelical Church now Christ United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1963.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Christ Ambassador Sunday School Class.
She enjoyed Traveling and crocheting.
Surviving are two nieces Patricia Breitenbach of Transfer and Wilma Heinemeier of Ft. Smith, AR, and nephew Elliott Boyles of Republic, MO; and two close friends, Tom Smith of Franklin and Deborah Hinkle of Hickory, NC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Ireva McCright and Vivian O'Neil; a niece, Kathleen McCright Miller.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens on Friday at 2:45 P.M. with Rev. David Janz of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 W. Park St. Franklin.
