Henry E. Jacoby

Henry E. Jacoby, 79 of Franklin passed away Wednesday December 17, 2014 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 5, 1935 in Franklin, he was a son of the late Torrance and Ruth Fulmer Jacoby.
He was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

Henry had a passion for auto racing and was well known throughout the area for his success is local racing. He frequently raced at Tri City, Pittsburgh Motor Speedway and many others. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Henry proudly served in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Galloway United Methodist Church.

He adored his granddaughter, Kaylin and loved spending time with her.

On January 18, 1964, Henry married the former Linda K. Couch and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1991.

Surviving is a son; Jason Jacoby of Franklin; a granddaughter, Kaylin Jacoby of Franklin; three sisters, Grace Solle of Franklin, Judy Lusher of Franklin, and Joan Haun and her husband Chuck of Eustis, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donny Jacoby and two brother-in-laws, Ed Lusher and Abe Solle.

There will be no visitation.

A private funeral service will be held at Galloway United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
