Iva Irene Ferringer

Iva Irene Ferringer, 91 a life long resident of Bully Hill died at 10:35 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. She was born in Franklin on April 5, 1917 a daughter of Calvin and Cora Rupert Ferringer. She attended the Graham School on Bully Hill. Miss Ferringer was employed at the General Manifold Printing Company and the Arnold Graphic Inc. of which she retired. She joined the East Grove United Methodist Church in 1945 and was a very loyal member. She was the church historian and membership secretary. She was well respected for her keen memory of local and church history. She enjoyed being outdoors in her flower gardens. She is survived by a sister-in-law Chris Ferringer, Franklin; two nephews Jack Ferringer and his wife Penny, Wallaceville; Joe Ferringer and his wife Loretta, Franklin; two nieces Judy Killham and her husband Bill, Pasadena, MD; Sara Jean Ferringer, Los Angles, CA; great nephews and nieces, Jackson Ferringer, Rebecca Ferringer, Julie Deuschle, Conner Killham; and a life long best friend Mirian Weaver, Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers Ronald, Clyde, Leonard and George Ferringer. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral will be held in the East Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lea A. Guiney pastor of the church officiating. The family suggests that donations be made to the Building Fund of the East Grove United Methodist Church, 1167 Belmar Road, Franklin, PA 16323 or a charity of ones choice.
