James H. Kase Jr. "Jay", 75, of Franklin passed away peacefully at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Quality Life Services, Grove City after a short stay.
Born April 12, 1945, in Franklin, he was the son of James Harrison Kase Sr. and Constance Black Kase Kapp.
He was a 1964 graduate of Oil City High School.
Mr. Kase served in the U.S. Army and attended Carnegie Mellon Technical Institute of Electronics in Pittsburgh.
He moved to Arizona and joined the U.A. Local 469 Arizona Pipe Fitters working on nuclear power plants around Arizona and Nevada from which he retired in 2002. In the 1980's he owned and operator Phoenix Alloy in Phoenix Arizona.
In 2012 he moved back to his hometown Franklin, PA. He enjoyed his beloved rescue cat Goldie and was a car enthusiast that enjoyed working on his Opal GT and going to car shows and cruises.
Surviving are his son, Robert James Kase of Prescott, AZ, granddaughters Jessica Kase of Phoenix, AZ and Tatiana Kase of Prescott, AZ, grandson, Justin Kase of Prescott, AZ, great granddaughter, Leila Ives, Phoenix, AZ, and nephews Michael Kase of Cranberry, PA, Bret Kase of Dolan Springs, AZ and Wesley Kase of East Lake, OH.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kase was proceeded in death by his brother Michael Kase and sister Katharine Kase.
There will be no public visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home in Franklin.
