Jean Jolley Blandin, 82 of 411 Liberty St. Franklin died at 7:49 A.M. Sunday August 14, 2011 at The Caring Place.
She was born in the family home on Liberty Street in Franklin on February 12, 1929; the daughter of the late George E. and Ethellee Ross Jolley. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1947.
Jean was married in 1948 to Charles W. Aiken, who died in 1952. She married James M. Blandin in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1961.
Jean worked for Jolley Industrial Supply Company in Franklin for many years. In her younger years she worked for Daniels Transfer and Pantech Engineering.
Jean loved to bake and share her baked goods with others. She was known for her sugar cookies and green tomato bread. She enjoyed sending flowers and cards to friends and family and was very generous to those in need. Jean collected Pillsbury Dough Boys and in recent years enjoyed watching ?Murder She Wrote? on DVD.
She is survived by two daughters and their spouses: Tamara and Gerald Montgomery of Van and Carole and Robert Burdick of Port Charlotte, Florida and by a son, Michael Blandin of Franklin. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Kimberly Shawgo, Michelle Hall, Sharon Israel, Stephen Blandin, Scott Vogan, Gregory Vogan, and Amy Detelich and eleven great-grandchildren. Additionally, Jean is survived by her brother and benefactor, Richard Jolley and his wife, Ann of Atlantic, a beloved sister, Marie (Sue) Lee of Franklin and a sister-in-law, Marguerite (Peg) Jolley, and several nieces and nephews and her cat Nubbins.
Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, including her very special neighbors, Dan and Kim Plyler and their daughters, Shannon and Jennifer.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence (Honey) Jolley, her twin sister, Jane McAninch, an infant sister, Vivian and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Blandin.
In accordance with Jean?s wishes, there will be no visitation.
Private burial will be held in the Franklin Cemetery.
