Joan Jacoby Haun

Joan Jacoby Haun, 84, of Eustis, FL, passed away on September 2, 2018.

She was born in Franklin, Pennsylvania and moved to Eustis in 2013.

She was the former Vice President of Human Resources for Oil City Hospital that later became UPMC Northwest. Prior, she had also worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways and Polk Center.

Joan was a very active member of the Galloway United Methodist Church of Franklin having served with many groups and committees. She is a lifetime member of the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a founding member of the Rocky Grove Junior Women's League. Joan was also the Past President of the Allegheny Kountry Kampers division of Newmar Kountry Klub and a former member of the Board of Directors of VNA. Additionally, she was always proud that she drove her brother Henry's car #4 in the first Powder Puff Derby at Tri City Speedway.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Charles; married for 65 years. Also surviving are her daughter, Karen (John) Grill of Grand Island, Florida, daughter in law, Maria Haun-Davis of Eustis, Florida, grandchildren, Matthew (Angela) Haun of Jefferson, Georgia, Kara Haun of Deland, Florida and Alisha Grill of Mount Dora, Florida, her sisters Grace Solle and Judy Lusher, both of Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Torrence and Ruth Jacoby, her son Craig Haun in 2014 and her siblings, Henry Jacoby, Donald Jacoby and Barbie Ann Jacoby, her brothers-in-law, Abe Solle, and Ed Lusher, and sister-in-law, Linda Jacoby.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 312 W. Park Street, Franklin where family and friends are welcome Friday, September 7 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be held at Galloway United Methodist Church, 196 Seysler Rd., Franklin, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 8, with Rev. Roy Gearhart officiating.
