Joyce A. Offutt

Joyce A. Offutt, 81 of 1432 Chestnut St. Franklin died at 5:04 P.M. Monday April 18, 2011 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.



Born June 18, 1929 in Mt. Jewett she was a daughter of Sigfrid and Effie Shelgren Anderson.



Joyce was a 1947 graduate of Kane High School and also a graduate of the Butler School of Nursing.



She was a registered nurse for many years at the former Franklin Hospital.



She was an avid bowler and was instrumental in starting youth bowling leagues in Franklin.



Along with her husband she was a long time volunteer with the Franklin Meals on Wheels.



On September 30, 1953 she married Robert B. Offutt and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1990.



Surviving are two children, David M. Offutt of Malvern, PA and Christine A. Offutt of Lock Haven, PA; five grandchildren, Nathan Offutt, Katherine Offutt, Alexis Lingenfelter, Brandon Tricou, and Eric Tricou.



In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Offutt and two sisters.



Friends will be received from 12:00 ? 2:00 P.M. on Saturday in the Huff Chapel Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home.



Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
