Karen Sue Adams

Karen Sue Adams, 69, of Cooperstown, passed away at 9:13 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at The Caring Place in Franklin.

Born in Franklin on September 27, 1954, she is the daughter of Clarence McCool Sr. and the late Sarah Matteson McCool. 

Karen was an avid bingo player and loved her animals. She loved her family and would do anything she could to help those in need. Karen had a passion for Native American culture. 

She was married to Christopher L. Adams in 1994 and he survives.

Also surviving are two sons; Christopher Allen Stevenson of Titusville and Anthony Eugene Stevenson of WA; four grandchildren Anthony Michael Stevenson, Mia Layla Stevenson, Mallory Stevenson and Brittany Brecsia; four siblings, Sarah Resinger of Franklin, Ron McCool of FL, Ruth Bickel of Franklin and Jeffrey McCool of Titusville and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Stevenson and siblings, Clarence McCool Jr and. Edith J. McCool.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M. Wednesday. 

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dana Lewis of Mount Carmel Tabernacle, officiating. 

Interment will be at Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery.
