Karen S. Roberts

Karen S. Roberts, 67 of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 8, 2014 at her residence.

Born December 31, 1946 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late DeWayne H. and Joan L. Neeley King.

She was a 1964 graduate of the former Victory High School.

Karen worked 27 years at Polk Center as a Residential Service Aide retiring in 2002.

She loved to watch birds and loved to make people laugh. Karen loved spending time with her family and truly lived for her grandchildren.

On November 18, 1989 she married George F. Roberts and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1992.

Surviving is a daughter; Sonya L. Mullen and her husband Barry of Franklin; a son, DeWayne L. Harbaugh and his wife Michelle (Kealey) of Clarion; two brothers, Kenneth King and his wife Paulette of Polk and Keith King and his wife Misty of Brownwood TX; two sisters, Kimberlee Mahood and her husband Thomas of Polk and Kellie King of Pittsburgh.

Additionally surviving are four grandchildren; Andrew & Abby Harbaugh of Clarion and Megan & Rebecca Mullen of Franklin; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Ebony and Buddy.

Family and friends welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Tina Kaye, CRE at Utica Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
