Ladonna H. Singleton

LaDonna H. Singleton, 79 of 641 Liberty St. Franklin went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday February 15, 2012.

Born September 11, 1932 in Fern, PA she was a daughter of the late William and Bernice Shreffler Hanst.

LaDonna was a 1950 graduate of St. Petersburg High School and upon graduation began a 44 year career with Joy Mining & Machining. Through the course of her time at Joy, she held seven different positions and at her retirement she was in charge of buying forgings and castings.

She was actively involved with The Caring Place Auxiliary as well as a member of the board of directors and was active for many years with ?RSVP.?

LaDonna was the matriarch of her family and loved and entertained those close to her.

LaDonna was a faithful member of the First Church of God in Franklin, participating in many church events. Her generous heart was felt by all and her witness for her Lord touched many lives.

On May 19, 1962 she married Lawrence A. ?Ozzie? Singleton and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1989.

Surviving is her brother, Grant Hanst and his wife Marjorie Ann of Knox; a sister Betty Barger of St. Petersburg; a sister in law Jeanne Hanst and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers; Willis Hanst and Ellery Hanst; a sister Thelma Kaber; and two brothers in laws, Millard Kaber and Floyd Barger.

LaDonna will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 ? 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at Huff Chapel Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin. Additional visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Sunday at Franklin First Church of God 703 Liberty St. Franklin, PA 16323 where funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. James Leichliter, officiating.

Interment will follow at Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
