Larry Ray Armburger, 63 of Franklin passed away at 10:58 A.M. on Thursday December 26, 2013 at his residence and surrounded by his family after a 3 1/2 year courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 7, 1950 in Franklin he was a son of the late Lawrence C. and Florence E. Tingley Armburger.
He graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1968.
Mr. Armburger worked at Specialty Fabrication & Power Coating. He had also worked for CPT, Electralloy, and Conair.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and also playing in various softball leagues over the years. Larry was a former member of the Eagles club and VFW.
On April 15, 1977 he married the former Cynthia J. Wyant at Fox Street Church of God and survives.
Also surviving is a son; Michael Scott Armburger; a daughter, Amanda Ann Walters and her husband Scott D. Walters all of Franklin; a sister Janet Boughner and her husband Wesley; two brothers, Clifford Armburger and Richard Armburger; and three grandchildren; Twinkle R. Murphy-Armburger, Scott D. Walters Jr. and Leia Rayann Walters.
He is additionally survived by three nieces; Shelley King and her daughter Tessa, Marci Confer and her husband Ty and son Trevor, Ashleigh Phillips and her husband Chad and daughter Payton; two nephews, Adam Armburger and Chad Armburger and his wife Deanna and son Jacob.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Marge Stalzman Armburger.
Family and friends welcome from 1:00 ?4:00 P.M. Saturday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo St. Franklin with the Rev. David Janz, Pastor of the church and the Rev. Mark Rusnak, Asera Care Chaplain, officiating.
Interment will follow at Cooperstown Cemetery.
