Lois Ann Carr, 66, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, June 22, 2024 after courageously battling cancer.
She was born in Oil City on January 4, 1958 to the late Wallace and Elizabeth Rockwell.
Lois was a 1976 graduate of Oil City High School and attended VoTech for Practical Nursing during her time there. She later underwent training to become a pharmacy technician and worked at Community Drugs for 15 years. Lois had worked a total of 22 years in the health industry by the time of her retirement in 2022.
In her earlier years, Lois was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church with her family and was a dedicated follower of Christ.
On September 14, 1979, Lois married her husband, Joe Carr, and they had two children together.
Surviving Lois is her husband, Joe Carr of Franklin, and their children, Brian and Amy Carr, both of Franklin. Also surviving is her brother, Dan Rockwell of Polk and his two children; Jason (Julie) Rockwell of Polk, and Steve (Carrie) Rockwell of Winchester, VA. Her siblings in-law; Margie and Jim Bonetti of Boyers, PA, Bob and Sally Carr of Franklin. Also left to cherish Lois' memory are several loved nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and mother and father in-law.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 312 West Park St., Franklin, where visitation will be held Friday, July 5 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
A memorial service will take place the Saturday, July 6 at Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street, Franklin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Darrell Greenawalt, officiating. A funeral lunch will follow.
The family would like to thank the MICU at UPMC Hamot and the staff at the Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Northwest for their care for Lois and the Carr family during this difficult time.
