Lois Virginia Bennett Jones

Lois Virginia Bennett Jones, 65 of Franklin passed away Saturday evening February 7, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family after a courageous three year battle with cancer.

Born October 29, 1949 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Laura Shea Bennett and the late Howard Bennett.

She attended Gannon University and Pitt Titusville.

She worked for 11 years as a Paralegal at Garbarino Neely Hindman & Huwar Law Firm in Clarion.

Lois enjoyed planting flowers and decorating her home for all occasions throughout the year. She loved to shop and cook and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Pirates Fan.

Lois was a strong woman who was extremely dedicated to her family and friends. She was always selfless and was looking out for everyone else. Her entire life was full of inspiration and perseverance. She was a positive example to anyone who touched her life.

On October 31, 2008 she married Philip R. Jones Jr. and he survives.

Also surviving is her mother, Laura; four children, Anthony Bergamasco and his wife Kathy of Pittsburgh, George Dobrick and his wife Pam of Monroeville, Michael Dobrick of Utica and Elisa Miller and her husband Kris of Franklin; three step-children, Philip R. Jones III, Ian B. Jones and Bailey N. Jones all of Franklin.

Additionally surviving is a sister Linda Fornataro and her husband Edward of Pittsburgh; a brother, Charles Mitchell of Pittsburgh; and six grandchildren, Miranda, Mark, Nick, Avery, Daithan and Kris; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Bennett.

Private family visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin. Friends are welcome from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from Noon - 1:00 PM. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mark Rusnak, Asceracare Chaplin, officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
