Lorraine J. Facini

Lorraine J. Facini, 95, of Franklin, passed away at 10:10 P.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Sugar Creek Care Center in Franklin.

Born July 27, 1929 in Franklin, she was the only daughter of the late Clarence Daugherty and Irene Brandon Daugherty. 

She attended several local schools but left in the 10th grade to begin working. She obtained her GED in 1976. Over the years, Lorraine worked for a variety of local businesses, most recently as the receptionist at the former dental office of Dr. Findlan. Lorraine was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Franklin. 

On May 1, 1948, she married Joseph P. Facini, who passed away in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Facini, as well as her four brothers, Wayne Daugherty, Paul Daugherty, Boyd Daugherty and Clarence Daugherty, Jr.. 

Surviving is a daughter, Kathleen Menda, of Alexandria, VA, as well as several nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff - Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St., Franklin where a Blessing Service for the immediate family will be celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Richard O’Polka of St. Patrick Church, officiating.

Interment will be made at St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial donations can be mailed in Lorraine’s honor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
