Lula Mae Mihleder, 91, formerly of Utica, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday May 1, 2010 at Sugar Creek Station.
A daughter of Lonnie W. and Laura Doss Holley, she was born in Dry Fork, VA on May 25, 1918.
She worked for 25 years at Wayne?s Market until she retired.
She had been a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon for two three year terms and was a member of the Royal Bible Class. She also attended the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church.
On July 5, 1958 she married John G. Mihleder who preceded her in death on December 1, 1980. They spent a great deal of time together hunting and fishing.
Mae was an avid gardener, sharing her bounty with friends and neighbors.
Surviving are two step-sons, Richard Mihleder and his wife Garnet of Franklin and John H. Mihleder and his wife Linda of Hot Springs Village, AR; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and step-son Charles Mihleder.
There will be no public visitation.
Funeral services will be held in the Huff Chapel 312 W. Park St. at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James Bennett, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Rev. Dominic Pietro, pastor of the Canal Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.
