Margaret L. ?Peg? Harley, 89, of 746 15th Street, Franklin, died Thursday afternoon at UPMC Northwest, Seneca. She had lived most of her life in the Franklin area and recently returned after several years of living in Warren, OH.
A daughter of Ralph Dewey and Maude Faye Adams Foster she was born in Raymilton on April 13, 1922. She was a graduate of Rockland High School.
A homemaker, Peg loved being a mother and spending time with her family. Her skills as a seamstress were well-known. She collected porcelain dolls and enjoyed taking short trips and shopping.
On August 9, 1945 she married James H. Harley. He died August 13, 1999.
Surviving are a son James F. Harley of Franklin; a granddaughter Susan Harley of Florida; three sisters Lucille Shawgo of Grove City, Lois Fehrs of Virginia and Mary Jane Towers and her husband Paul of Franklin; three brothers Ralph L. Foster, Clyde W. Foster, and Clair R. Foster and his wife Maxine all of Franklin and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters Leona Jean Stellman and Nancy Foster and a brother Paul Foster.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 11 a.m. until noon Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at noon Monday with the Rev. Sam Wagner, Associate Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
