Mary Louise Snyder, 95, passed away peacefully Sunday evening April 8th at her home in Franklin where she had resided for 34 years.
A daughter of Mary and Joseph Nalepa, she was born on October 7, 1922 in Franklin.
Mary was a graduate of Franklin High School.
On December 26, 1946 she married her beloved husband Wallace D. "Mike" Snyder. Mary spent the rest of her life as a devoted and loving mother, wife and homemaker to her cherished husband, Mike, and four children. 16 years of her life were spent in Ft. Worth Texas when Mike's job responsibilities transferred them there in 1953. Mike's job brought them back to Franklin in 1969.
Mary was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Returning to Franklin Mary nourished a love for antiques and relished the hunt, acquiring many friends along the way, especially Nancy Guth.
She also had a love for good food and an excellent glass of wine with the wonderful dinners she prepared nightly for her beloved husband.
Mike passed before her in 2016, as did her son, Mark, in 2009.
She is survived by her children, Dee Ann (Tom) McLaughlin of Oil City, Kenneth D. Snyder of Franklin, and Michael D. (Kathy) Snyder of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also surviving is her dear sister, Clara "Tweedie" Ossoff of Ohio; her seven grandchildren, Paul Snyder of Willoughby Hills, OH, Tracey Snyder of Mr. Pleasant, SC, Kenneth Snyder of Boulder, CO, Mora McLaughlin of Pittsburgh, Diego Snyder of Houston, TX, Bruno Snyder of Cypress, TX, and Rocio Snyder of Lima, Peru; by four great grandchildren, Myla, Brenton, Odessa and Kensington, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends and neighbors, John and Judy Malarky, Lee Gilliland, Judy Grandelis, Patty English, Ron and Donna Fletcher and Luann Valdesalice.
There will be no hours of visitation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
A Blessing Service will be conducted by Deacon Richard O'Polka at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services in the Funeral Home Chapel
