Nancy Joan Greenlee, 80, of Hudson, Ohio, formerly of Franklin, Pennsylvania, died June 3, 2014, in Hudson, Ohio.
Born June 29, 1933, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Mark Donald Brown and Cecelia Eleanor Moffit Brown.
She was a 1951 graduate of Franklin High School. She married Harold Eugene Greenlee on July 11, 1953, at First United Methodist Church in Franklin.
In 1955, she graduated from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, where she majored in Business Education.
She taught in the business education department at New Wilmington High School for one year. She taught at Robinson Elementary School in the Fort LeBoeuf School District outside Erie, Pennsylvania, for almost 29 years.
In 1990, she retired and moved to Lakeland, Florida. She served as an elder and Clerk of Session of the Presbyterian Church of the Highlands, Lakeland, Florida. She played with the hand bell choir and taught adult Sunday school. She returned to Franklin in 2009, where she attended Christ United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed square dancing, garage-saling, gardening, and reading, and she participated in several mission trips to Africa and Central America. She moved to the Cleveland area after a stroke in 2011.
Surviving are her three children, Mark B. Greenlee and wife Valerie of Shaker Heights OH, Scott S. Greenlee and wife Suzanne of Norwalk CT, and Shawn E. Greenlee and wife Vedrana Hrsak of Providence RI; five grandchildren, Sarah Okuh and husband Obie of Cleveland Heights OH, Justin Greenlee and wife Jessie of Tuscaloosa AL, Erin Smalley and husband Zac of Durango TX, Jordan Greenlee of Norwalk CT, and Ryan Greenlee of Norwalk CT; and one great grandchild, Tessa Okuh.
Mrs. Greenlee was preceded in death by her husband.
Family and friends welcome Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. & 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St., Franklin.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street, Franklin.
Interment will be at Franklin Cemetery.
