Opal L. Bollinger, 90, of Beech Creek died Monday March 30, 2015 at Jersey Shore Manor Care. Mrs. Bollinger had resided in Boyers until August 2008.
A daughter of Arthur D. and Mabel A. Chambers Lynch, she was born in Boyers on November 13, 1924. She was a 1942 graduate of Grove City High School.
Mrs. Bollinger had worked in the Civil Service records department in Boyers, retiring with 10 years of service.
While living in Boyers she was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church and the women's society of the church. After moving she attended the Majestic Mountain Fellowship Wesleyan Church of Mill Hall. For many years she was the contact person for the Moniteau Ceremonial Squad.
On June 21, 1944 she married Dean L. Bollinger. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.
Surviving are two daughters Cheryl D. (Rick) Hixson of Beech Creek and Lisa J. (Rick) Mueller of Erie, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother David (Velma) Lynch of Grove City and a brother-in-law Donald Craig of Boyers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Carol Craig and a brother Gaylord Lynch.
Friends will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville from noon until 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 with the Rev. Jane E. Johnson, assistant pastor of Delaware Run Wesleyan Church of Watsontown and Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad, pastor of Beech Creek Wesleyan Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Prairie Cemetery.
